- Jenny Taylor, DVM -
Dr. Jenny Taylor has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area her
entire life. She graduated from California State University
at Hayward in 1989 with a Bachelors degree in Marine biology
and then UCDavis school of Veterinary medicine in 1995. She
worked as an ER and housecall veterinarian for 5 years while
she continued her training in complementary modalities
including acupuncture, homeopathy and herbal therapies. She
is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and Traditional
Chinese Medicine through the International Veterinary
Acupuncture Society and has completed Doctor Richard Pitcairn’s
Professional Course in Veterinary Homeopathy. She has
received advanced training in both homeopathy and
Traditional Chinese Medicine and is currently working
towards certification through the American Veterinary
Homeopathic society. Dr. Taylor Founded Creature Comfort
Holistic Veterinary Center in Oakland, California, one of
the first complementary veterinary clinics in the Bay Area
offering a variety of holistic modalities such as
acupuncture, homeopathy, Chinese and Western herbal
therapies and chiropractic care in addition to traditional
western veterinary medicine. She lectures regularly at local
animal shelters and kennel clubs and has presented seminars
to students in veterinary acupuncture and homeopathy at UCDavis and other institutions. She is
featured on the "Dogs for Dummies" DVD,
hosting a series on basic canine care and information. She
lives in Oakland, California with her Jack Russell
"Terrorist" Molly
and her incredibly tolerant kitty Suzie.

Kirsten Williams, DVM - Dr.
Kirsten Williams
was born in Oakland and grew up in the Bay Area. She
graduated from UCDavis with a B.S. in Zoology in 1988 and
received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the
Veterinary School at UCDavis in 1992. She has been in small
animal practice in San Ramon, California since graduation.
She became certified in veterinary acupuncture with the
International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 1998. She
currently lives in Oakland with her husband, two children, a
cat, a bird and a snake.
- Karen Rettig, DVM - Dr. Karen Rettig is a graduate of Melbourne University School of
Veterinary Medicine in Australia. Licensed in the State of
Nevada and the State of California to practice veterinary
medicine, she had been practicing veterinary medicine for
4 years in Reno, Nevada. Her practice in Reno
included both traditional western veterinary medicine and
acupuncture and herbs. She completed the IVAS course in 2004
and attended the herbal course at the Chi Institute in
Florida. Dr. Rettig joined CCHVC in
March 2006.

Christie Johnson,
DVM -
Dr. Christie Johnson was born in Los Angeles and grew up in
Southern California. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College
with a Bachelors in Physics in 1992. After spending a year
working at the Humane Society of Utah, she entered UC Davis
School of Veterinary Medicine. She received her Doctor of
Veterinary Medicine degree from UC Davis in 1997. Since then
she has worked in the SF Bay Area as a veterinarian;
including the last 6 years at Broadway Pet Hospital. She is
certified in Veterinary Acupuncture through the
International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and has
attended courses in Chinese Veterinary Herbology though the
Chi Institute. She lives in Oakland with her diabetic kitty,
Mondi, and they both enjoy gazing into their aquarium.

Adam Piaseczny,
DVM - Dr. Adam Piaseczny is a graduate of Cornell
University, College of Veterinary Medicine. He
received his veterinary Acupuncture Certification from the
Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in August
2006. Dr. Adam's main interest is clinical nutrition.
In addition to acupuncture and herbs, he incorporates diet
as a vital component of the treatment. With Dr. Adam's
help, everyday feeding can become a means of re-establishing
a balanced state in your pet's body and mind. Dr. Adam
was born and raised in Krakow, Poland. He moved to New
Jersey with his family in 1992, where he completed his last
year of high school, as well as his undergraduate education.
After living in New England for the past 14 years, he moved
to the East Bay in 2006 and currently resides in Hayward.
- Beth Murray, CCH,
RSHom(Na) -
Beth is a Certified Classical Homeopath as designated by the
Council for Homeopathic Certification. She is a
graduate of the Pacific Academy of Homeopathy, a 3-year
program. She also holds a Master's degree. She
interned for 3 years at Creature Comfort Holistic Veterinary
Center prior to beginning to practice here in 2005.

- Margaret Holiday, DC -
Dr. Holiday obtained her teaching credential and taught high
school biology and French for 6 years before attending
Palmer College of Chiropractic. She has had a thriving
chiropractic practice for over twenty years, currently in
Albany, CA. Her lifelong interest in and love of
animals led her to become nationally certified in animal
chiropractic (5 years ago) and she now works with 3 small
animal veterinary clinics in the Bay Area that specialize in
alternative veterinary care. She also travels to local
stables for work with horses. She enjoys collaborating
with other practitioners to offer complete holistic care for
animals. In addition to traditional chiropractic
techniques, she specializes in craniosacral and trigger
point therapies which have proven to be extremely effective
in treating animals.
